The night of our staycation at Dusit Thani Dubai, we had a satisfying dinner at 24TH St. located at (well) the 24th floor of the five-star hotel. This restaurant specializes in Asian street-food particularly Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian cuisine. Each cuisine has its distinct shop sign: Kim’s Korean, Lucy Wong’s, Momo San, and Chatakana.

Restaurant Review: Dinner at 24TH Street Dubai
24TH St.’s ambiance is vibrant and colorful, reminiscent of urban hawker stands in Asia. Cooks will prepare the food in open-plan stations. But instead of going to each stand, you can wait at the comfort of your table.
The menu is offered on a single sheet of paper which already served as our place-mat. We initially took time in ordering which dishes to have for the night. We were wondering which dish from which nation to pair so the overall food experience would match well. Rachel, our waitress, helped us out with menu and soon enough we were excited to sample them.

Appetizers
Asian cuisine was something we were craving as the past days, we consumed mostly Arabic or Italian meals.
We opted to get Chinese, Korean, and Japanese dishes during this experience. For appetizers, we had the Assorted dim sum (spinach prawns dumpling, duck meat dumpling, and chicken siew mai), spider roll sushi, and Yakitori chicken skewers.
Assorted Dim Sum (choice of any 3 items) – AED 35
choice of Spinach prawns dumpling, mushroom bun, duck meat dumpling, charcoal spicy chicken bun, chicken siew mai
Spider Roll – AED 65
Deep-fried softshell crab, Japanese mayo, futo maki style
Yakitori – AED 48
Grilled chicken skewers with teriyaki sauce
Main Course
For our main course, we ordered stir-fried baby octopus, Wok-fried Singapore style crab in tomato sauce, and Eonyang Bulgogi. All of the food were appetizing and flavourful.
We did not order any dessert as we were quite full and we also had a reservation booked for another place in the same night.
Nakji Bok- Kum – AED 49
stir-fried baby octopus with chili paste, carrots and mushrooms
Chili Crab (Price per 100 grams) – AED 36 – this was worth 600g
Wok-fried Singapore style crab with tomato sauce, chili paste and egg
Eonyang Bulgogi – AED 115
Pan-fried thinly sliced beef rib eye, marinated with Teok Galby sauce
Despite the notion of street food, presentation is quite classy. More so to the quality and taste. We were very satisfied and we enjoyed every dish they prepared.
Service was excellent, too. Rachel, the waitstaff, was very attentive. One thing worth highlighting was that she prepared a bowl of water with lemon for our hands after apologizing that they didn’t have wet wipes. It was not necessary as we could simply head to the washroom but the gesture of going the extra mile was something we really appreciated.
