We had a superb spa experience at Shine Spa in the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates. This is a spa located on the 24th floor of the 5-star hotel which features a range of treatments that aim to rejuvenate and relax its guests.
To get to the spa, you can take the elevator going to the 5th floor, and then take another elevator heading to the 24th floor. We had a Relaxation Couple’s Massage session booked and we couldn’t wait to try it out.

Steam, Sauna, and Jacuzzi
We were warmly welcomed by the staff. We were given a locker where we could change into a robe and we were directed to the wet area. While waiting for the treatment, guests can also pamper themselves in the wet facility and soak in the experience.
We arrived early in the hotel because we also wanted to take advantage of the facilities. The spa is spacious and features a wet area with a steam room, a sauna, and a jacuzzi.

Shine Spa Review of Relaxation Couple’s Massage
The Couple’s massage session is a 60-minute session designed for couples to enjoy together.
The massage started from the feet and calves. Then they proceeded to the back, head, and shoulders. I especially loved that they paid attention to the neck area because it’s something that I badly needed.
We turned over and they continued with the session focusing on the legs and then the head. The pressure was perfect and the therapists used just the right amount of coconut oil. It felt very luxurious and pampering.

During the massage, I noticed that our massage tables feature heating pads which kept our stomach/backs warm all throughout and made us feel very calm.
There were moments in the treatment when I almost dozed off because it was so relaxing. The ambiance of the spa, the soft music, and the gentle massage combined create a very calming and stress-relieving experience. I asked my wife how her massage was and she said it was excellent.
After the session, we were brought back to the wet area where we enjoyed some time in the sauna and jacuzzi. It was a perfect way to finish the afternoon.

One of the more indulgent activities you can do especially for couples in Dubai is having a relaxing massage and spa experience.
