During our say at Shangri-La Dubai, we had access to the Horizon Club member facilities and amenities which include the Presidential Suites on the 43rd floor and the Health Club on the 42nd Floor. In the health club, we got to swim in the indoor infinity pool and try the Jacuzzi too.

The hotel’s 42nd level is a famous spot for photographers, Instagrammers and photo enthusiasts in Dubai. I can say that this is a main feature of Shangri-La Hotel because of the panoramic skyline view of Dubai which includes Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai. It’s just a modern wonder to see it from this vantage point.

For security reasons, only hotel guests are allowed to go up the floor and use the amenities. But there are non-guests who can request access to the balcony area to take photos.
Non-guests need to contact the hotel’s reception a day or a few days before your scheduled date. Sometimes there are other people who have already reserved a spot so walking in may not be an option.

I was excited to take my wife to the indoor infinity pool in the health club because the view is just amazing. We stared at the road and buildings below. I guess we couldn’t get enough of the view.
The Horizon Health Club is open from 7am to 11pm.

Afternoon Tea or Happy Hour with a View at Presidential Suites Dar Al Wasl
During our first day in the hotel, we took part in the Happy Hour at the private lounge. It was nice because aside from drinks, they also serve canapés. We were digging the vibe being high above the tower and enjoying our drinks and snacks with a view.
Below are the following offerings a Horizon Club member can access in the 43rd Floor
- Afternoon Tea – served from 12 noon to 3pm
- Happy Hour Drinks – served from 4:30pm to 6:30 pm
Note: for the Club Lounge Access, smart casual dress is required for all guess using the Lounge services.

hi, based on what i know, yes, you need to call them so you can take photos. as it’s become a popular spot for photographers. I heard even that there’s a fee (like you have to pay to dine or something). Please check with the hotel.
