I had the pleasure of sharing my knowledge about blogging to a group of journalism students in Dubai. I visited Manipal University located in Academic City for a short open lecture on a Thursday morning.
The School of Media & Communication of Manipal University set up an initiative under the school’s Industry Interface Program where they reach out to experts to share their knowledge, experience and tips in an academic setting. I was able to volunteer and help future media professionals in the field of blogging which was truly an honor.

This Dubai Travel Blog is a relatively new site, and I seldom get to update it due to other commitments such as keeping a day job and maintaining other projects. But I’m glad that somehow, the blog gets recognized for its quality, and in this case, I get invited to talk about my experience in blogging.
Manipal University – Dubai
I started blogging in 2003 and I’m glad to have discussed my journey and share tips to the students. Even if I’m a bit shy in terms of reaching out to the rest of the blogging community in Dubai, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share my skills to people who were interested and willing to listen.
Manipal University welcomed me and I tried to answer as many questions from these young and curious students.

The talk ran for two hours with a lot of interesting discussions. I hope that in some way, I was able to impart tips and ideas on how they can adapt those techniques to their own blogs.
Thank you to Megna and the school of Media Communications of Manipal University Dubai for the invitation!
