NYSA Spa & Fitness at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights

One of the highlights we were delighted to experience during our stay at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights were the amenities at Nysa Spa and Fitness. Located at the 2nd floor of the residence building of the hotel, you can have a luxurious spa experience even if you don’t book a massage treatment here.

While my wife spent the afternoon at the pool area, I headed towards the fitness center to have a look around. Nysa Gym is not a typical ‘warehouse-type’ design and the machines and equipment have been strategically located to make way for the dome shaped design of the building.

The gym is fully equipped and offers extensive facilities which includes fitness studios, exercise classes, cardio equipment, weights, cycling areas, and treadmill stations overlooking the road.

Nysa Fitness is a unisex gym but also has an exclusive area for ladies. The gym is open 24 hours.

The gym has a clean and contemporary design with elegant touches. Mind you, you might get lost as it’s quite huge, but you can ask for directions from the friendly staff to give you a tour.

Nysa Spa and Relaxation Area

Another thing that surprised me during the quick tour is the huge relaxation area which occupies the rest of the of the floor. The spa has separate locker rooms for men and women, with each locker having a spacious steam and sauna.

Wet Thermal Area

It feels like a labyrinth as rooms are divided by doors and walls that cover from bottom to ceiling (and if you live in Dubai, you know how high ceilings can get). The design is minimalist with elegant light accents. If you get inside, you will notice that the establishment focuses on the importance of space and privacy.

The Male and Female changing rooms are connected by a common pathway leading to another area which houses a Unisex Wet Thermal facility. Couples can enjoy this common area for hot and cold Jacuzzi, spa-heated stone lounge chairs, shower rooms that emulate rain intensities, and some more rooms for Turkish bath treatments and other spa sessions.

Our dinner at the hotel’s Mexican restaurant, La Tablita, was pushed a few hours later as we enjoyed the facilities in the spa. What’s even better was that we had the place all to ourselves at the time.

I haven’t seen a more spacious setting for relaxation and this is something I  recommend couples or hotel guests to try. While we didn’t book a massage treatment, the facilities were already enough treat to the senses.
