Last weekend, my wife and I got to experience the famous Saturday Marina Brunch at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi. We were there for a staycation experience and one of the highlights was the brunch featuring international cuisines. The event was definitely a luxurious and indulgent affair with free-flowing drinks and an impressive spread of seafood, sushi, cheese and cold cuts, Arabic mezze, Belgian food, Brazilian Churrascaria, and many more.
Brunch began at 12:30 pm and continued until 4 pm, giving us plenty of time to slowly explore all the different stations. We were quite excited to try everything and we were not disappointed.

In case you’re wondering what to expect from this weekend brunch, you can sample different cuisines from different restaurants in the Marina Walk.
We started with some sushi and sashimi from the Japanese station before making our way over to the cheese and cold cuts section. The selection of cheeses was amazing and we quickly filled up on crackers and various types of meat.

There were a selection of lobsters, oysters, clams, prawns, mussels, and crabs from the raw seafood bar, reminiscent of The Fish Market.
Next, we headed over to the extensive Arabic mezze section which included all of our favorite dishes like hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, grape leaves, etc. from Byblos Sur Mer Lebanese Restaurant.

After piling our plates high with Arabic mezze, we decided to walk around a bit and check out some of the other stations. The Belgian Cafe food station featured a variety of fried bites, mussels, plus some pork options.

Italian pasta and gelato were available from Circo Restaurant.
One of the main highlights during the brunch was the Chamas’ Brazilian Churrascaria station where we could get our fill of grilled meat, freshly carved and served on our plate.
The salad bar in Chamas was also something we were pleasantly surprised by as it offered a great variety of fresh and healthy options.

Last but not least, we saved room for dessert and ended our meal with the Tres Leches cake, and some shaved ice sweets. This was an absolutely delicious way to end our brunch experience.
