On a recent Saturday, our family had the chance to try the Brunch in Bloom at Gastro Kitchen, located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Jumeirah Beach. With the cooler season soon making way for the summer heat, it felt like a good opportunity to enjoy an outdoor dining experience while it’s still comfortable.

The brunch offers indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the Jumeirah Beach area with a view of Ain Dubai. The seating setup was pleasant, with plenty of shade and a relaxed coastal backdrop. This made it easy for us to enjoy the setting without feeling rushed or uncomfortable.

Saturday Brunch at Gastro Kitchen JBR: Food Served Straight to the Table
Unlike a buffet, the dishes are served directly to your table as part of a four-course sharing menu. For a family setting, this was convenient and allowed us to enjoy the food without having to get up frequently. The meal started with appetizers and salads, followed by mains and desserts.
The food stood out for its creative presentation and variety. Portions were ample but not overwhelming, making it easy to try different items.
Colorful Dishes and Live Entertainment
What we noticed was the thoughtful attention to detail in presenting the dishes. The mains were hearty and filling, while the desserts provided a nice way to wrap up the meal with something sweet. It’s worth noting that the courses are brought out at a well-paced interval, so you can relax between servings.
Aside from the food and drinks, there’s live music that adds a vibrant touch to the afternoon. With upbeat tunes setting a cheerful mood, it perfectly complements the delicious dishes and relaxed pacing, making the experience both lively and memorable.
The cocktails at the Brunch in Bloom were well-made and offered a nice variety to suit different tastes. I like the fact that they packed a punch.
Pool Access Included
An added perk of the brunch was the complimentary access to the pool and beach areas of the hotel. After the meal, we made our way to the pool section, where we spent the rest of the afternoon. This was a major highlight for our toddler, who spent hours playing in the kiddie pool.
The shallow area, designed specifically for young children, was an ideal spot for little ones to splash around safely.
For the adults, the pool area provided a laid-back environment to unwind. The loungers and proximity to the beach gave enough options for anyone looking to either relax poolside or take a quick walk along the sands.
