Hi. My name is Ed and welcome to my blog about Dubai. I’ve been living in this desert city for over 5 years now. I use my time off from work by visiting places in this fast-rising city in the UAE. I go out with my wife and as we explore, she reads books while I take photos of the places we visit. ;p

I love taking pictures while travelling and exploring various places. I decided to create this weblog so I can have a place to share my experiences while staying here. This travel blog is a side project where I get to publish stories of things that interest me in this city which is mostly travel, food and photography.

Camera Gear: I mainly use a Fujifilm XE1 mirrorless camera and take it with me when I go out in Dubai. I bought this during one of the Gitex Shopper Festivals for a really great deal. Given that I find it bulky to bring a DSLR camera, I decided to invest on this especially after hearing good reviews online about the Fujifilm cameras in general.

Few photos of this blog are taken using a Sony point and shoot camera to which I’m letting it retire now. I also use a GoPro so I can take more photos of wide-angle landscapes, as well as have more flexibility when going on adventures, especially those that involve water.

Goal: My aim is to make this as a resourceful portal of information as I share tourist attractions, adventures, food shops, culture, and everything about Dubai. I hope you join me in my adventures as I capture the city through my thoughts and lens.
