Iftar at Pergolas Restaurant in Roda Al Murooj

We had the opportunity to join an iftar preview at Pergolas Restaurant in Roda Al Murooj Downtown Dubai. Now that Ramadan is fast approaching, many hotels and restaurants are promoting their iftar offerings.

Located at the lobby of the hotel, the restaurant is designed around several buffet and cooking stations. While this was not out first time in the hotel, as we were able to enjoy a Friday Brunch at their Double Decker Pub, we haven’t been to Pergolas so this is something new for me to blog.

Ramadan Iftar Experience – Pergolas Restaurant, Roda Al Murooj Downtown Dubai

The restaurant prides itself with a wonderful terrace so you can dine al fresco and this was where we were seated. I’m glad that the weather is still good as it’s definitely the time to squeeze in what’s remaining of the winter season before the summer heat fully kicks in.

From Arabic to Indian and Italian to Japanese, Pergolas offers an international cuisine. The iftar offerings start at AED 159 per person.

I just came from a personal leave so I wasn’t able to write as many activities in Dubai the past couple of months. I’m still trying to go back to my daily grind of writing about my experiences in the UAE. That’s why I’m glad to have this invitation which arrived at the right time.

I also missed some Arabic food so it was this definitely a timely event for me.

Some of the items I really enjoyed were the lamb ouzi, the kibbeh, and the cold mezze station. I was very happy to have tried the hummus and the moutabal.

From the appetizers to the main course, desserts, and even the finger food that the staff served in between, overall it was a relaxing evening with a tasteful sample of what they have this Ramadan season.
