Iftar Dinner at Moka Cafe in Villa Rotana

While Ramadan season is a time of fasting, restaurants are coming up with enticing iftars to encourage guests to dine in and break the fast. One of the places that we were invited to have iftar is at Moka Cafe in Villa Rotana hotel.

Located in Business Bay along Sheikh Zayed Road, Moka Café is tastefully decorated with a modern and contemporary design. One thing we noticed was the high ceiling which offers a spacious atmosphere for dining. We arrived before dark and it was nice to see natural light coming through the glass ceiling.

Restaurant Review: Moka Café at Villa Rotana

This was my first iftar dinner in Dubai this year. We just came back after two weeks out of the country and it was nice to partake in servings of Arabic dishes.

For AED 139 per person, you can have helpful portions from the buffet. I remember going back to get some hot mezzes and hummus, chicken mandi and lamb shakria.

Food stations in the restaurant are separated and makes for a convenient flow of traffic when people are putting food on their plates. Desserts and salads are placed on one side, some hot mezzes on the center, and the main courses on the other side. This makes it much easier for patrons not to crowd in one area and is actually another thing we missed about Dubai — space.

For those looking for a new place to feast this iftar, you can head over to Villa Rotana. Traditional Iftar buffet at Moka Cafe in Villa Rotana for 139 AED per person. For bookings of eight people and above, iftar is at 99 AED per person.
